Yes, Local Seltzery NuLu is super dog friendly and makes our curated list of the best pet friendly bars in Louisville. Located within the uber-popular NuLu Marketplace, on the Main Street side, the Local Seltzery has multiple dog friendly seating areas, including a protected area out front, an interior courtyard with games like cornhole, and even indoors! That’s right, your furbulous friend pretty much has the run of the place, so belly up to the bar for a custom-made seltzer, with or without booze, and enjoy!
Food Situation:
While Local Seltzery NuLu does not have a food menu of its own, as a part of the extensive NuLu Marketplace, many dining options are available, and seltzer lovers are welcome to bring in food from outside vendors. (Hello, Emmy Squared Pizza!)
Drink Situation:
Let’s be crystal clear: Local Seltzery NuLu is a paradise for seltzer lovers (and their canine companions). The owners are delightfully obsessed with providing “the cleanest, most creative, and refreshing beverages on the market,” and they absolutely deliver. Can’t find exactly what you’re craving? No problem! You can create your own seltzer which is concocted for you on the spot. Our two favorite custom creations are spicy cucumber flavor with Patrón Tequila and Honeydew Black-Ras with Tito’s Vodka. You’re not obsessed with seltzers? No worries, Local Seltzery NuLu also offers beer, wine, classic cocktails, and if you’re in a hurry, shots!
Location and Other Tips:
If you enter NuLu Marketplace from Market Street, as many people do, including us, you might think finding the Local Seltzery is a scavenger hunt. From the Market Street side of the popular marketplace, you’ll find seltzer heaven in the back, across the center courtyard and to the right. It’s absolutely worth the search! Also, Local Seltzery NuLu, as the name suggests, is in the heart of the fantastic NuLu neighborhood, close to many of our favorite pet friendly hotels in Louisville, and restaurants too!
