About Poogan's Porch
Is Poogan's Porch dog friendly?
Yes! Poogan’s Porch is dog friendly, and it makes our curated list of the best pet friendly places in Charleston, SC. Named after a local neighborhood dog, you know your pup will be welcomed here. They have three pet friendly seating areas! They have two floors with covered patios with fans as well as additional uncovered seating in the front of the house. There is an additional back patio, some of which is shaded. All of the seating in the front of the lovely Victorian home is surrounded by a decorative fence that keeps the pups away from the road and sidewalk traffic. The outdoor seating is open year-round weather dependent.
This is Southern comfort food at its finest. Can you say pimento cheese fritters with bacon jam?? Yum. You can also find a few items on the lighter side, like the sweat tea glazed salmon and their daily fresh catch and a children’s menu too.
Poogan’s Porch has a full bar offering some nice signature cocktails like a Mint Julep Mule and a Pecan Old Fashioned. They also offer some brunch eye-opener mimosas and bloody marys, a small craft beer list, whiskey flights, and a California-focused wine list.
