About Lewis Barbecue
Is Lewis Barbecue dog friendly?
Yes! Lewis Barbecue is dog friendly and it makes our curated list of the best pet friendly places in Charleston, SC. Located in the NoMo neighborhood, the industrial chic space has numerous outdoor picnic-style tables to share a meaty meal with your pup. For the summer months the beautiful large oak tree offers shade and there are heaters available for the winter months.
Texas-style barbecue is the name of the game here. Well-respected pit master John Lewis doles out some of the best beef brisket outside of the Lone Star State. The friendly staff will cut it to order by weight or you can have it on a sandwich. You can’t go wrong either way however make sure you leave room for the decadent green chili corn pudding.
While the carnivorous delights take center stage, the drink menu at Lewis’ is no wallflower. The cocktail list may be on the dainty side, but it packs a festive punch with Margaritas available by the glass or the pitcher. The array of tequila and rum-based concoctions ensures there’s a festive drink for every palate, with a Michelada making a cameo for good measure. Wine aficionados, brace yourselves, because there’s actually some vino in the house! The quirky find of a Spanish pet-nat in a can is like discovering a unicorn at a rodeo – unexpected but delightful. But let’s face it, beer and barbecue are the Batman and Robin of food pairings. Lewis’ offers a rotating selection of craft drafts, ready to be enjoyed by the glass or pitcher. And for those who like to keep it classic, traditional domestics and refreshing seltzers round out the selection. Cheers to that!
