Is Collins Quarter at Forsyth dog friendly?
Yes! Collins Quarter at Forsyth is dog friendly! This is the second outpost of the popular Collins Quarter brunch cafe. You will find the second one in the historic district (also with the same fabulous brunch.) This location in the park is open early if you want to pop by for a coffee or pastry, and they serve brunch seven days a week starting at 9 am. There is ample outdoor pet-friendly seating. Some of it is under cover, and the rest of the seating has umbrellas. Heaters are also abundant for the winter months.
Food Situation:
Great for breakfast, brunch or lunch, they offer healthy options and vegan options like the Heirloom Grain Bowl. They also serve many delicious not-so-healthy items like Fried Chicken Benedict or my brunch staple of Bacon & Egg on a roll but this one comes on a decadent brioche roll with arugula, cheddar, fancy bacon jam, and caramelized onion aioli… Is it wrong if I am drooling more than my dog now?
Drink Situation:
Coffee is a standout here as well as some nice tea options but Collins Quarter also exemplifies brunch day-drinking at its best. They offer six, yes six different styles of mimosas to choose from. They also have a full bar with a nice list of signature cocktails and a small but quality list of craft beers.
Location and Other Tips:
It doesn’t get much better than a brunch in the park with your pooch where you can lazily sip on a coffee or mimosa, enjoy the greenery and people-watch. If you are walking from the historic district, come into the park, get a nice pic with your pup by the fountain and then continue into the park a bit further and you will see Collins Quarter. If you are staying at the pet-friendly Mansion on Forsyth, you will be right across the street from a tasty morning meal.
