Yes, Against the Grain is dog friendly and makes our curated list of the best dog friendly breweries in Louisville! Ideally located on East Main Street, a part of the Slugger Field complex and pretty much in the center of all things Louisville, Against the Grain has great outside seating options for humans and our furry friends. We like the area with picnic tables and umbrellas, protected from street traffic and shaded by lovely trees.
Food Situation:
In addition to being Louisville’s groundbreaking craft beer brewery, Against the Grain is also a full-service restaurant, offering brunch, lunch and dinner. For this reason, dogs are not allowed indoors.
Drink Situation:
Against the Grain is the Godfather of Louisville’s respected craft beer scene, launched by four suds-loving friends in 2011. The beer selection is vast and creative. We like the Loo-a-vuhl Pale, which is both educational and refreshing, and the Bang Bräu Rauchbier, with its delightfully smoky flavor. Not a beer drinker? No worries. Against the Grain has a fully-stocked bar.
Location and Other Tips:
Against The Grain Public House is ideally located in the southeast corner of Louisville Slugger Field, a former train station that features spectacular, ornate industrial architecture. On the border of downtown and Louisville’s NuLu neighborhood, Against the Grain is a short walk to many (if not most) of our favorite pet friendly hotels and pet friendly restaurants in Louisville. In other words, the location is pretty much perfect, the epicenter of Loo-a-vuhl’s pet friendly scene!
