About The Alida
This Stylish and laid-back hotel opened in 2018. Developed in a renovated warehouse, The Alida has a well-put-together mix of industrial chic and warm mid-century furniture. It has three nice drinking and dining options, including a roof-top bar with great views.
The Alida Pet Policy
Yes! The Alida is dog friendly. Dogs up to 40lbs are welcome and they allow up to two pets per room. There is a cleaning fee of $100 per stay. Unfortunately, due to allergy concerns, cats are not permitted.
Are the lobby and other common areas of The Alida pet friendly?
The lobby is very comfortable and inviting with multiple sitting areas as well as a large table for enjoying a morning coffee and a muffin with your pup. The lobby bar is not dog friendly, but there is a nice outdoor sitting area just off the bar with fire pits and couches available. The rooftop bar gets two paws up from us. It has great city views, and a lovely fireplace in the winter, and they happily allowed our pup to hang with us for a tasty adult beverage. The well-regarded Rhett restaurant on the bottom floor has a good amount of outdoor pet-friendly seating, and, although it is sidewalk seating, it is at the end of the touristy part of River Street and was fairly quiet during our recent visit.
What is the check-in experience like at The Alida? Do they do anything special for pets?
The staff at the Alida was very welcoming to our pup. Upon check-in, they do have dog bowls and dog treats, but we forgot to ask for them! Pamplemousse will have to save her treat review for our next visit. One additional note is that the concierge is available to help you arrange dog walking services if needed. Lastly, The Alida gets bonus paws up from us as they donate a portion of their profits to the Humane Society of Greater Savannah.
Is the location of The Alida dog friendly?
Located one block off the river, The Alida is in a great location to experience Savannah’s riverfront and historic district. It is also located close to SCAD, Savannah’s renowned school of art and design as well as the SCAD museum. It’s an easy walk to the City Market area of restaurants and shops and is about a one-mile walk from Forsyth Park. To get to Forsyth Park your walk will include passing by numerous historic sites and through many of Savannah’s lush squares, offering your pup ample sniffs and lots of opportunities to take care of their biz.
