You’re barking up the right tree – leashed dogs & pets are welcome on the property (except during “Winter Lights” or other specified events). However, if you’d like to go inside buildings or the Bonsai Exhibition Garden, take a “paws,” as only service animals are permitted. Please be mindful of the gardens & other guests by picking up after your pup!
A 434-acre public garden within the Bent Creek Experimental Forest. Enjoy forested coves & meandering creeks in the botanically diverse Southern Appalachian Mountains. You’ll find exhibits, hiking & biking trails, the “Rocky Cove Railroad,” plus a Bistro & Gift Shop. Additionally, the Arboretum is adjacent to the Bent Creek trails, a network suitable for beginner through advanced hikers/bikers. The parking fee is the only fee to enter the Arboretum or its facilities (unless you become a member). (Advertised ticketed events may incur additional costs.)
