About Rainbow Row
Is Rainbow RowDog Friendly?
Yes, Rainbow Row is pet friendly! The residential street is prime for photos and lovely strolls with your furry friend. Typical pedestrian pet etiquette is expected here and it can get congested on the sidewalk, so be mindful of your pet’s safety while walking and taking selfies.
More Info:
Charleston’s gorgeous Rainbow Row includes thirteen colorful historic houses along East Bay Street (north of Tradd St. and south of Elliott St.), close to the Battery. The homes were not originally painted so vibrantly as they were used by merchants who ran a business on the ground floor and lived above in the 1700s. Then in the 1930s, the neighborhood got a “glam-up” when one resident painted the exterior pink and others decided to follow suit.
