About Colonial Lake Park
Is Colonial Lake ParkDog Friendly?
Yes, Colonial Lake Park is dog-friendly and is a favorite spot for those who like to doggy paddle! The tidal pool is one of the only places that dogs can swim downtown–head to the Rutledge Avenue side of the pathway to find stairs down to the lake. We’ve been warned there may be sharp oyster shells on the walls so it is important for the dogs to take the stairs to avoid the side walls. While dogs are walking on the path, they should stay on leash.
More Info:
Colonial Lake Park has a 0.5 mile paved loop around the tidal pond that is great for walking dogs. Come prepared with some fresh water for your pup as the path is very sunny with little shade. The path is next to the Moultrie Playground, Tennis and Pickleball courts if there are others in your group that may have interest in those hoomin activities!
